Since almost eliminating coffee from my diet, I have found freshly juiced carrots to be an awesome pick me up, especially before a workout. I usually have about 600 ml of carrot juice about 30 minutes before a workout.
I also juice an apple with it to enhance the flavour, and have it with crushed ice. I find it much more of a pick me up than commercial carrot juices, due to no destruction of vitamins and enzymes having just been juiced.
Absolutely awesome drink, how many of you on this forum have tried fresh carrot juice as a training drink?
