Wheat grass supplies

I would like to enjoy the benefits of growing wheatgrass indoors, but I am having problems with finding the supplies and need some guidance. I would like for the person answering the question to state the name of the product and where would I be able to buy it from. I live in Houston, Texas and would prefer to buy my supplies from local chain stores, or local stores in general rather than buying it online, but if the product can’t be found in local stores I don’t mind buying it online?
1) Wheat grains: the best for sprouting and for growing.
2) Trays for planting
3) Soil ( I am not interested in soilless method), here is where most of my problem lies. What kind of soil to use, topsoil, compost, perlite, peat moss and with what ratios.
4) Nutrients that are added to the soil sea kelp, azomite and can I grow my wheat grass without these nutrients.
5) What to do with the soil after I grew wheat grass in it, throw it, reuse it, or compost it and if the later is the answer meaning compost it how do I do that, where to buy a compost bin from and what would be the size and procedure meaning when can I reuse the compost.

I think the best thing I can do is refer you to a Free eBook I created just for people like you and me. When I first started growing wheatgrass I had all these same questions. Look in my signature link below.

I hope this helps mate

The time to harvest after you remove the seed cover is about 4-5 days but this can be increased/decreased by changing the temperature and light levels in your growing micro-climate. Seems like a short span of time, but you gotta take it seriously to get all the benefits.

It helps to keep your grass green, but also helps the grass need nutrition to stay healthy. It helps to nourish grass-roots system. This is a well cared for, grass can overcome all types of situations, including drought conditions, pests and diseases.
