Is it possible to harvest seeds?

I'm wondering if it's possible to grow wheatgrass to maturity and then harvest the seeds so I don't need to keep buying them over and over. Is this possible? Has anyone tried it?

You know I tried this before, and what happend is the grass died. LOL

I think you would have to find the type of wheat seeds that grow out doors and grow past a blade, but as far as the types you find for consuming online I'm not sure that's really possible.
