Where to find wheatgrass seeds locally?

Hi! I'm in North Carolina (close to Charlotte) and looking for a local place to buy seed. I found lots of sources for seed online, but the shipping almost makes it cost-prohibitive!

Anyone have some advice on where to find wheatgrass seed locally?

I have been using hard winter wheat berries I bought at my healthfood store at a reasonable price. There is a senior member of this forum (WheatEnergy) who sells spring wheat berries at his website, Drelichwheatgrass.com. He'll probably respond and be able to give you local supplier info or you can contact him directly; he's very helpful.

Try buying a TON of Certified Organic wheat...at an increase of about $850.oo compared to last yeart at this time!!!

What do you do for a living that the costs were stable....work for the government?

Checking around the local Health Food stores is a good idea.....

But for sure just the cost of the ORGANIC wheatgrass Winter or Spring has just about doubled......If gas was jusy 5 cents a gallon....the dollar only can be streched so far.

Alot of people grow in just about anything....beware of chiken feathers and ground animal parts in SOME of the so called ORGANIC grow mixes.....The people selling that crap to make money are rediculous....Look for pure grow mixes. A Canadian Company called Fafard does it RIGHT! Ecoli and Slamonella are not FUN!

I found some wheat berries at a bulk food store in Ohio, and also at the Farmer's Market here in NC.

I have heart about this kind of grass before. But I don't know where this grass is being sold or where I can get it. If anybody knows about it, please tell me. I want to buy some seed of this kind of grass to grow at my home.
