What are the different kinds?

What are the different kinds of wheatgrass? I mean all I have heard of is one. Is there different flavors or does each different kind of grass taste differently.

well there is basically just wheatgrass and then there is barley grass...but not to confuse things but there is a wheatgrass called Kamut which is slightly different than the wheatgrass seeds you find at your whole foods store. This kamut seed has around 18% protein compared to 12% of regular wheatgrass.

Winter or spring.?..hard red of course.

I have been using hard red spring wheat berries for almost the entire 8 years growing. I do not get as much yeild from the Spring Wheat...but believe that the flavor is superlative. And the Organic SPROUTING berries do have a higher protiein content than the winter variety.....It is not cheap to run 5....two horsepower turbo fans in Florida to grow in the high heat and humidity, But ventalation....Pure water (no clorine)....etc....Lets just say you reap what you sow! STAY Green and BE Healthy!
