Hello wheat grass enthusiasts! I hope to soon become one of your ranks

My experience with wheat grass is somewhat limited. When getting juices at juice bars I have always asked for the fresh wheat grass "shot" to be added to my drink and loved how I felt after having it. I never knew where to get it from however, and never bothered to look it up. Recently the Persian bazaar near where I work had rows upon rows of fresh wheat grass being sold . I decided to give it a shot and purchased a small flat. At first I thought I could just add it to salads but when looking it up I read that you actually need to juice it because your body cant extract all the nutrients without it being processed first. I kept it by my windowsill for a few days and decided to try making a smoothie today. It tasted good, but boy did I find out afterwards how wrong I did it! I put some blades of the wheat grass in my magic bullet and blended it with apples, and yogurt and water. It blended alright..but I had thick long ropey chunks in it. Not the best texture. My baby even had a few sips and loved it but I figured I must be doing something wrong so popped on the internet and ended up here! This forum looks like a great place to get informed and broaden my culinary horizons! Already I see that I should be looking into purchasing a juicer.
A little about myself. I am a breastfeeding mama to my 14 month old angel. I work part time at a boutique that carries many natural parenting accessories

I have recently switched my diet once again back to vegetarian. Already in the past few weeks I have felt renewed energy and mood

I am hoping wheat grass will add to this even more.
