They have taken over!! All over my out door wheat grass.. Can you offer me any advice. I have a misting station where I germinate outside,( they are on the seeds as well) and then move the grass to another outside location so it doesn't get as much water. They make the trays spoil and smell. Seems to be so many of them in the trays like a swarm. I kinda have to grow out side( wife not having it indoors) in Florida. Please help me . To much expense and effort to be foiled by flies! Is it the seed? I bought 50 lbs in bulk

ANSWER to problem....
Fans>>>Ventalation!
I use 2 hp. turbo Fans from Breezemaker of Tampa Florida. The turbulance will disturb them enough and they will not stay as much in your crops. You will always have moths, worms(tiny), fleas, fire ants(if there is a food substance nearby)roachs etc. I always tell peopel the high protien boooghers are FREE! |
