Different Types of Juicers

Choosing the right tool for your juicing needs is crucial to maximizing the healthy benefits of your fruits. Like any other task, making a juice requires the use of appropriate device and techniques. It is without a doubt that juices enhance the body’s overall performance and it is very essential for us to have an adequate supply of it.
There are different types of juicers that have different levels of performance and choosing which one is the best is very important. Of course you’d want a juicer that delivers all the natural juice goodness and flavor you demand. More so, it also would be wise to have a juicer that that can handle any fruit, vegetable, leafy green, herb, or grass that you could ever want to juice. Versatility is a very vital issue that has to be considered in choosing the right equipment.

The Masticating machine operates at a slower speed. It chews the fibers and breaks up the cells of vegetables and fruits. This gives you more fiber, enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals. It also is more versatile because in addition to extracting juices, the unit homogenizes making baby foods, sauces, nut butters, banana ice creams and fruit sorbets. An optional grain mill attachment is available for grinding grains into flour.

The Centrifugal machine first grinds the fruit and vegetables then pushes them through the strainer by spinning at a very high rpm (similar to your washing machine on the spin cycle). This method usually yields a little more volume of juice

The Triturating (twin gear) machine, which turns at a slower rpm, has a two step process. The first step crushes the fruits and vegetables, while the second step wrings or presses the juice. This process gives you more fiber, enzymes, vitamins and trace minerals. These juicers also have magnetic and bio-ceramic technology that slows down the oxidation process, which is good if you want to make and store your juice.
It should be taken into consideration though when choosing your juicer the oxidation levels being churned out by each machine. A good choice would be the one the produce the smallest amount of oxidation and those that make the highest nutrient juice.

HealthyJuicer by Lexen is what I'm using

Hi, love the posts I'm reading here--this is an awesome forum! Just thought i'd throw my two cents in and tell everyone here what I'm using since I would highly recomment it. It's the HealthyJuicer Electric by Lexen which I got from http://877myjuicer.com --here's the link to the juicer itself: http://877myjuicer.com/product/LEXENHEALTHYJUICER --I have the manual version as well just for wheatgrass but the electric handles citrus, greans, carrots and celery and wheatgrass as well as peanut butter and you can get crazy with it and make pastas or frozen desserts with it! The great thing about this juicer is how easy it is to use and clean up! That was a deterant for me before with the Jacl Lalanne I have b/c clean up is a major project so I became less and less motivated to juice every morning. Now I'm juicing at least 4 mornings a week and now I'm starting to hit it up at night for dessert. Also, if you're into wheatgrassing it everyday, there's a sprouter you can get for under $40 that works great and is VERY easy. Check it out too! http://877myjuicer.com/product/HEALTHYSPROUTER I would love to hear any comments on various juicers, recipes and wheatgrass growing tips if anyone's got any.

One of the most important decisions to purchase a juicer is what is the best juicer for your lifestyle. One of the key questions you should ask yourself before deciding on a centrifuge is how much time you can devote to making juice. It is also important to know what are the centrifuges more effort and time to clean.

It is important to drink the highest quality juice. So, the extra time spent juicing with a twin gear juicer might be advisable. However, when juicing a citrus fruit, you have to peel the fruit, since there is rapid speed involved during the process.

There are a host of different types of juicing appliances including centrifugal, masticating and twin gear juicers. Then there are also citrus presses and wheatgrass juicers. The punchline is, the juicer must retain those important nutrients from the raw material to the juice itself.

One of the most important purchasing decisions of a centrifuge is what is the best juicer in your lifestyle. One of the most important questions to ask before deciding on a centrifuge how long you can concentrate on the juice.
