Colour Question

I'd be grateful for some clarification on the following as I wish to get back to a company regarding some wheatgrass (and barleygrass) powder I have just purchased and received.

Previously, the wheatgrass powder I have purchased has been a bright vibrant green - and had a certain sweetness to it. However, for the last order I tried a different supplier, but what I have received is more a light tan colour, and doesn't have the same sweetness at all. Its quite a bland taste with a far more course/fibrous/husky texture. The barleygrass seems a tad less bland (and has a faint touch of sweetness), but not much.

My impression (based on my experience) is that what I have received from the company are not high quality grass powders, and are potentially low in quality - and so I am not looking for comments about and/ore reinforcing that. Rather I would like to understand practically why the powders might be this way (in terms of their growing/processing) - and/or if in fact some grasses do just come out like this - and are perfectly ok - nutritionally (at least for powders). The lack of any green colour does however indicate that the grass/powder is devoid of chlorophyll.

I am looking for reasoned, informed and useful comments that I can get back to the company with - both that will assist in resolving my dissatisfaction/disappointment with the product they have supplied me with, and also that will be useful for them in terms of identifying a better quality product to retail.

Hi Greenluv,

The problem is that most people are in business to make money instead of providing health benefits. This means getting the cheapest marketable product without particular concern for the user. Powders are often bought by the ton from overseas sources and there are no quality controls on them whatsoever. Here is a link to the largest trading site in the world so you can see exactly what I'm talking about:
http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?...oduct_en&fsb=y

In your wheatgrass search, make sure that you get raw and living juice. This is where the benefit lies and quite frankly I genuinely consider your experience to be a health fraud. Someone took your money in exchange for a health benefit...and it just won't come from this type of source.

What we as a company deliver is the exact opposite. We do everything we can to ensure that you get the best possible raw, living and potent product. You can find us at http://www.dynamicgreens.com

Smile hi! I'm a newbie and willing to help!

Sometimes the prepration makes a difference.. Maybe you put too much water in it. If you want a sweeter taste. try Easy Pha-max wheatgrass juice with honey. It tastes good. You don't just have the benefits of wheatgrass but also the goodness of honey! =) You can order here in the philippines. I think they have US agents to assist customers from the US because my aunt from seattle is ordering here. I hope I was able to help! =)
