Aluminium trays for wheatgrass growing

Hello all, I'm new to wheatgrass growing and have been unable to find vinyl trays in Albuquerque this time of year and was wondering if aluminium foil roasting pans (the semi disposable kind) would work if I punched holes in the bottom of one and placed it in another (propping the top pan up to allow drainage)..,I suppose my real question is...Will the aluminium contaminate the grass in any way or is there some other reason not to use aluminium?
