wheatgrass bitter
Hello all, i'm new to this board and new to growing wheatgrass, our wheatgrass has been taking forever to get to 7 inches long, we harvested our first batch around 6inches, been taking it for 4 days now each day i about threw up, then the second tray was getting moldy so my husband harvested it at about 4-5 inches long, yesterday, rinsed it off and put it in the fridge, this morning i juiced it, good thing was i didnt almost puke, but it tasted kinda bitter, as opposed to the very sweet last tray. was it bitter because it wasent long enough? is it even worth taking? i'd like to not feel sick, will this go away, i really have a very good diet, but my hubs dosent and he didnt feel sick. any thoughts?

Quote:
The bitter taste and the "about threw up" are both due to the molds. It is extremely common for one person to have a reaction and another not. In fact, it would also be common if the next time you do it your positions are reversed. This is the nature of the molds. You can read more about this in this post: http://www.ewheatgrass.com/wheatgras...719-post8.html I am from DynamicGreens and we are a commercial supplier that ships flash frozen juice directly to people's homes. We solve this problem by field growing outdoors where the molds simply do not develop. I can't solve your issue because we would never grow in trays for this very reason; however, I can confirm that this is the issue. Others on the board may have ideas for you or we would welcome you to try our juice.
