How does it heal?

Exactly how does wheatgrass heal the body?
Is it a cure for disease?

There have been whole book chapters just on this subject, but one example is wheatgrass effect on the blood. In Ann Wigmore book The Wheatgrass Book, she states that Wheatgrass juice contains liquid oxygen. And oxygen is vital to many body processes; it stimulates digestion, clearer thinking, and protective oxygenation of the blood. It also promotes better circulation of the blood, ultimately nourishing every single cell in your body.

Wheatgrass juice makes the blood vessels larger so that blood can flow through them more easily. Increasing circulation means better nutrition to the cells and more efficient removal of waste from them as well. Both processes are important in terms of healing or rebuilding the body.

You can apply this knowledge to a disease such as cancer. A German biochemist Dr. Otto Warburg won a Noble prize for his study which revealed that cancer cells can not exist in the PRESENCE of OXYGEN! Pretty neat discovery huh

Well thats perfect for me, Ive been diagnosed with bad blood flow, so Im really hoping this wheatgrass will help that problem

yeh, i dont think my body is that "bad" with my blood flow , but im probaly still not the healthiest person, im Fit, but not as healthy as i should be

oh ya bct? I had a check-up last week and the doctor told me that i had PERFECT health. Hahaha, maybe i could be more perfect if i had an oz. of wheatgrass every day? Lol!

I bet there is at least one thing wrong with you

It purifies the blood.
It acts as a detergent on the body.
It helps overcome dandruff. Rub the juice into the scalp, rinse and shampoo.

wow good idea on the dandruff thing, i don't really have that but my scalp gets dry and flakes sometimes in the cold/dry winter... its gettin to be that time in Lincoln, NE... better bust out the WG!

can you just use that without using normal shampoo?

i'm not sure, good question bct... i would think that you would need to mix it with something more concentrated like shampoo so it wouldnt run down your head and into the water right away, that way you would have time to mix it in

Thats impossible. If it can cure things like stuffed noses or sinus infenctions I can believe it but if your telling me it can cure genital diseases and scrub dirt off of your skin, I might just not beleive it.

Some people are genetic and metabolicly close to being pefect....Clear skin...Perfect thick hair....A fantastic build...but do not work out. BUT life comes at you FAST....So a little prevention can mean alot in the latter years. "They" say that you can change someones religon by talking to them.easier...Than what they intend to have for dinner later on that evening. "Take off that yellow shirt and put on this blue on"....CHANGE ...even for the better can be difficult. Pefect health.????...I would still put some nuts away for a rainy day.

I would be cautious when buying shampoo, reading ingredients and I look to the health food stores for my first place to buy. However, I found sodium laur. sulfate in many which is bad. I'm hoping that wheatgrass onto my scalp would be the answer to the shampoo as well. My hair is dry, brittle and even touching it can make it come out without any pressure either.

Not a bad idea...BUT start drinking 4-6 ounces of FRESH juice every day for a month....most of the people who drink our wheatgrass complain that their HAIR and skin are showing a remarkable difference.

Thanks to hair response as a yes and great testimonies. I know a lady that had a bald spot and her hair is now growing back drinking the juice.

Any tips on drinking the fresh juice as the smell is enough to knock me over? Are you suggesting 2-3 ounces empty stomach AM and PM, before meals and waiting half hour or so and straight?

I recently saw some wheatgrass grown without soil in what may have been square trays. I want to keep it simple and I have a good juicer, the room to grow wheatgrass outside or inside, but with winter around the corner, outside is not a strong possibility. How is wheatgrass grown without soil? Also I heard that grown in the ground and letting the rooms grow way down, 15", the taste is more mellow with less sugar content too.

Right now I've got sauerkraut and kosher dill garlic pickles making fresh, raw, and uncooked. They are delish!

I keep some PURE Peppermint oil handy....and put a little on my wrist when a new client says that they first the ordor of the fresh wheatgrass hard to take.

Also many of the wheatgrass juicers(I recommend the Omega 8005) can make carrot celery or apple juice FRESH before you add the wheatgrass...Keep the fresh made juice separate...and sip some inbetween the sips of wheatgrass juice....

Also it is goo d to swish the wheatgrass juice around in your mouth before you swallow it.

The Wheatgrass grown the HYDRO way>>>has liquid fertalizers and the water it is grown in is constantly flowing (circulating) Results>>>a cheaply grown easy way to make money ...but not as good as tray grown in a soiless mix.

Mother nature makes it difficult to grown in a greenhouse here in Orlando Florida.....But with the storms and hurricanes...trying to grown outside is truely REDICULOUS!

Thanks for so much for your replies. Can never learn to much for you and the "grass" folks here.

Since I have a Green Power juicer and just here for self and hubby I would love to grow some grass inside. Any suggestions as I have done "moldy" results before but it's been a long time. I was thinking just a flat with holes and drain bowl would work. I am at the baby step 101 and need to follow your advice about getting used to that strong smell! Thanks. I'm sure I will be back with questions or at least reading.

dry cool nights are perfect for growing wheatgrass.....inside you will need a fan for added ventalation...water with no clorine in it.

Read up on some of my threads and post about growing ...and the ingridients I use. Our website is being revamped as I write to you....so Drelichwheatgrass will be off line for a day or two.

We sell out most every week for the past 3 years so I let the SSL Certficate expire...The way I grow my wheatgrass I have not had to advertise ...word of mouth hastaken care of that.
